HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CASHMERE
Gentle hand washing is our preferred cleaning method.
Follow our simple steps to keep your cashmere looking and feeling brand new.
TIPS FOR HAND WASHING
- Use a mild liquid detergent or shampoo and dissolve completely in luke-warm water.
- Immerse the garment and wash gently with your hands avoiding rubbing.
- Thoroughly rinse the garment and gently squeeze to remove excess water. Do not wring.
- Lie flat on a clean dry towel, then roll up and squeeze out any excess water.
- Place back on a dry towel and gently pull back into shape. Dry in the shade.
- Ensure your cashmere is completely dry before storing.
- Always fold your cashmere as hanging overtime will cause shoulder dimples and distort the shape.
- To avoid moths and critters store your cashmere in a cashmere storage bag or surround it with cedar balls or blocks.
- Pilling is a natural characteristic of all quality cashmere. A cashmere comb used on your freshly washed and dried cashmere will help keep it looking like new. Lie on a flat surface and gently comb in one direction
MACHINE WASHING AND DRYCLEANING
Lonely Goat Cashmere can be machine washed on a cool, gentle cycle using a mild detergent and dried flat in the shade.
Our products are also dry cleanable. We ask that dry cleaners follow the care instructions label.
CASHMERE BOOTIE SLIPPERS
Our Bootie slippers can be washed in the same way as our other products.
Please bear in mind that these slippers are designed as house slippers and should not be worn outside. They are not water-proof and when wet can be slippery.
